Nine RIHS Business students participated in the 2nd Annual Carl Sandburg College BizCafe Business Competition on Thursday, March 15th. Other schools competing at the event were Galesburg, Illini West, United, and Williamsfield.
In the simulation, students worked in groups of three to create a company name, logo, chose furnishings, and make startup decisions for a new coffee shop. During the ten rounds of competition, students analyzed customer feedback information, marketing options, and reviewed finicial statements to make determinations on how to adjust business strategy to fine tune their financial and customer satisfaction goals.
The RIHS students won several awards during the competition, including:

Most Prepared: Swift Cafe
